Job Description:
Carefully inspects the vehicle prior to driving the passenger;
Vehicle should be clean (swept), dry and odor-free;
Plans a trip and manages road time, passenger/loads are picked up and delivered according to schedule as assigned (based on normal transit times);
Communicates with Operations to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of issues; Advises Operations immediately when conditions change and an assigned passenger cannot be picked up or delivered on schedule;
Provides first-level technical assistance as required;
Provides supervision of loading/unloading (pallet counts, damage inspection) where required;
Supports our image with the client by maintaining a neat, clean personal appearance and adopting a professional and courteous manner with clients and staff;
Understands and complies with all driving regulations and has no restrictions on his ability to enter or exit any route because of legal or driver’s permit issues;
Meets all medical requirements to operate under Ministry of Transport (MOT) regulations;
Responsible to ensure the vehicle assigned is roadworthy, fit for use and in compliance with the Ministry of Transport (MOT) mechanical regulations at all times;
Possesses physical agility and stamina for pre and post-trip inspections, hand-bombing and manual adjustments to equipment, and mental concentration for long periods of sitting and driving;
Immediately and completely report any driver safety and compliance infractions;
Monitors vehicles, engines, tires, fuel levels and leaves any vehicle driven with full fuel;
Reports any defects immediately through Fleet Support;
Maintains a clean driving record and up to date paperwork and personal license;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned Qualifications: Minimum of ‘O level certificate City & Guide Trade test certificate ( Added Advantage)
